Campus Recreation
In addition to the Outdoor EdVenture Program, UH Hilo offers a wide variety of recreational activities. The Student Life Center is a great place on campus to hang out and workout. The Center includes a beautiful gym and swimming pool. You can join a free and fun fitness class. They have a wide variety of fitness classes, such as yoga, hula, weight training, spinning, martial arts, Tahitian dance, and hip hop dance.
You can also learn how to scuba dive. Scuba classes are for new or advanced scuba divers. If you are new to scuba, the beginner’s class takes you from snorkeling to an internationally recognized certified recreational diver. For more experienced and certified divers, there is a class to help you increase your skills. The class includes five ocean dives, including a deep dive (below 60 feet). There is a fee for these classes. Click here for more information about scuba diving opportunities.
