Jet Lag

Many of you will travel through quite a few time zones by the time you arrive in Hilo. It is common to experience jet lag when traveling to a faraway place. Jet lag is a disruption of your sleeping and waking cycles, experienced while traveling to another time zone. The most common symptoms of jet lag are fatigue, sleepiness during the day, insomnia at night, poor concentration, confusion, hunger at inappropriate times or lack of appetite, and general irritability. The effects of jet lag can be avoided by rapidly adjusting to the day/night pattern of your destination.
