Students from the Compact of Free Association Nations

UH Hilo does not require students from Palau, the Marshall Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia to have health insurance. However, students from the Compact nations who are living in the U.S. may be able to obtain health insurance subsidized by the U.S. federal government or State of Hawaii. Information about how to apply for health insurance will be provided when you are in Hilo.
