Housing Costs

Costs for housing vary depending on whether you live on campus in the residence halls or off campus in an apartment.

On-Campus Residence Halls: The costs vary from about $1,772 to $3,377 for a semester.

Off-Campus Apartments:  There are some off-campus housing options for students attending UH Hilo.  There are several apartments within a 10-30-minute walk to campus.  The cost of a shared apartment can range from $500 to $700 for one month.  This sometimes includes the cost of utilities and internet, but some apartments do not include the cost of utilities such as electricity or internet service.  Single apartments will cost about $1,000 a month or more.
