Once you have done all the things we discussed in this online pre-departure orientation, you are ready to go to Hilo. The final step is to attend the orientation that will be held on campus before classes start. This section provides information about the on campus orientation.

What is Orientation?
Orientation is a series of events and activities before classes begin that are designed to welcome and orient new students to UH Hilo. You will meet other students and learn about life at UH Hilo and in the Hilo community. You will also be able to meet with an academic advisor to discuss your classes and register or make changes to your class schedule. There will also be opportunities to go shopping and buy things that you might need, such as sheets, pillow, towels, cell phone, books, etc.
